Hi! I’m Brittany, a licensed Pharmacist and graduate from St. John’s University, where I completed a six year, PharmD program.
I pursued a career in pharmacy not only because I loved science and math but also because I wanted to be a part of the healthcare field where I can help people by sharing my knowledge and to have a positive impact on their lives.
While studying pharmacy, I realized how important lifestyle modifications (diet and exercise) are in order to PREVENT most chronic diseases and being prescribed medication. There is not enough emphasis and education on eating healthy.
As a pharmacy student, I received a vast amount of education on nutrition from reading nutritional labels, and evaluating ingredients in food and supplements to the biology and biochemistry of our bodies. I was so intrigued by the human body, the process of metabolizing food and how much food truly has an impact on our health and on our life.
After college is when I really shifted my focus on training and my diet. I started CrossFit in 2010 and it has truly changed my life! I find that through training I can challenge myself, set goals, and become a better person both physically and mentally.
There is nothing that brings me more joy than pursuing strong, positive habits in my life that make me feel healthy, alive, and love my body!
